How to send inventory to your Warehut

Stock delivery and receiving instructions

ℹ️
This guide explains how merchants should prepare and send inventory to shippers. Deliveries that do not comply with these instructions risk being rejected by your shipper, so please follow them carefully.

🛖 Intro

Preparing your inventory for delivery to your Warehut is extremely important. Following these instructions will save you time and money.

  • ⏱️ Time: your Warehut cannot start shipping your orders until all your stock is correctly identified.
  • 💵 Money: if these instructions are not followed, a $49.99 fee will be charged, plus the misc. hourly rate.

🏷️ Labelling and identification

  • All deliveries must be accompanied by a manifest clearly indicating the full contents of each pallet and each carton.
  • Each box or carton must be clearly labelled with its contents to avoid confusion.
  • Cartons should contain no more than 1 SKU.

⚖️ Weight and safety

  • Cartons must be capable of being safely lifted by a single person. We recommend that cartons not exceed 25 lbs.
  • The merchant must arrange for all deliveries to be on a truck equipped with unloading equipment, e.g. that can bring pallets down to ground level.
  • Warehuts are not equipped with forklifts or pallet movers.
  • Cartons weighing over OSHA safe lifting limits or deliveries that cannot be safely lifted or unloaded and will be rejected. If this occurs, a delivery rejected fee will be charged to the merchant.

🧾 Taxes, duties, and fees

  • Merchants are responsible for paying all import duties, taxes, freight fees, and other miscellaneous fees on stock deliveries.
  • Shippers will not pay courier fees. If your shipper receives a delivery and is asked by the courier to pay a fee of any kind, they will reject the delivery and you will be charged the stock rejected fee.
  • If you are shipping inventory from outside the USA, shipments must be Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and not Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). Shipments should never be marked as “bill receiver” for duties and taxes.
  • Your company should always be listed as the Importer of Record, and your Warehut's address should only be listed as the delivery location.

🔔 Notifications and communication
